Every number has a source. Here they are.
HireRoom shows external data in three places: job postings, sponsorship signals, and heuristics computed from them. This page is the provenance record for all three.
Job postings · public ATS feeds
Listings come from the public posting APIs of the applicant-tracking systems companies already use to advertise roles: Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby, plus company career pages. Every posting carries the source it was fetched from and the date it was last verified. Postings not verified within 14 days drop out of the live pool automatically.
Visa sponsorship · U.S. Department of Labor LCA disclosure data
Sponsorship signals are derived from Labor Condition Application disclosure files published by the DOL Office of Foreign Labor Certification. These are public records of what employers filed, not promises about what they will do. A filing history means a company has sponsored before; it does not guarantee sponsorship for any specific role. Each filing row carries the source quarter it came from, and the Sponsorship Index shows the exact coverage range live. A quarterly refresh cron exists in the codebase; whether it is running against the latest DOL file is a deployment fact, not something this page can prove from here, so this page makes no freshness promise beyond the coverage range shown.
Ghost-likelihood · a labeled heuristic
The ghost score estimates the chance a posting is stale or abandoned from observable signals (age, reposting patterns, verification lapses). It is a heuristic shown with its reasoning, never presented as fact, and you can filter it off entirely.
Discovery search · SerpApi (Astra, unreleased)
The Astra discovery agents, when released, use SerpApi for programmatic listing search. Astra is currently not launched; no member data flows to this provider today.
What we do not use
- · No login-walled or member-only data scraped from third-party networks.
- · No purchased resume or contact databases.
- · No inferred sponsorship status presented as verified. If it is not in the filings, it is labeled a heuristic or not shown at all.
